I came upon some magnificent Gothic artwork by David Downs of Vintage Crow Studios, that is worthy of mention. His shop is located here: Through A Glass Darkly, and I originally found his work through his Squidoo lens found here: Dark Fantasy Art
Among my favorite works was the “Lilith and Lenore” illustration, which is Lilith Grimm, from the Brother’s Grim comic section of Nocturnal Dirge petting her cat Lenore.
Much of David’s work is done in pen and ink, and his Black and White illustrations are complex, sumptuous and rich. His stated influences range from Albrect Durer to the Pre-Raphaelite artists, among many others.
